Eligibility Criteria And Admission Procedure

UG Courses:

Admissions to all courses are completely merit-based. The admission process for the same commences after results for 10+2 are declared and will be notified in the website.

General Instructions:

1. Visit college website http://www.sfscollege.edu.in and do the registration.

2. Take a print out of registration form and submit the hard copy along with documents.

3. Confirm the admission as per the merit list.

4. Christian candidates shall be admitted directly on merit basis.

5. The Application should be accompanied by one attested copy of the following certificates:

a). Leaving Certificate (Transfer Certificate) signed by the Head master or Principal of the institution in which the candidate last studied. A student who has passed his/her last examination as a private candidate should in addition to such certificate should also furnish evidence of good conduct.

b). Mark sheet of 12th Standard examination.

c). Certificate (Diploma) of the examination qualified for admission to the University course concerned. If any difficulty is experienced in furnishing this certificate at the time of admission, it should be submitted in original as soon as possible.

d). Eligibility Certificate (in original) in case of students who have passed higher secondary examination conducted by statutory Board outside Maharashtra State and Universities other than the RTM Nagpur University:-

Application for Eligibility Certificate should be made to the RTM Nagpur University, in the prescribed form along with the required fee and it should be submitted to the college office at the time of admission.

e). Migration Certificate (in original): In the case of those students who have passed the last examination of a board other than the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or an examination of a University other the RTM Nagpur University. This certificate is to be transmitted to the RTM Nagpur University through the College before the 1st of October.

Delay in submission of the Migration Certificate will render the students liable to late fee of Rs. 100/- P.M. to the RTM Nagpur University and even to exclusion from the University Course.

f). Xerox copy of Aadhaar Card

Eligibility conditions:

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

Interested aspirants for the undergraduate degree must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.

  • The candidate should have passed the 12th Standard Examination of the Maharashtra State Board Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any such recognised equivalent board in the faculty of Arts or faculty of Commerce or faculty of Science, vocational stream, professional courses with English as one of the compulsory subjects. If the candidate has passed the examination without English, he/she has to obtain an eligibility certificate from the University.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

Semester – I

  • The candidate should have passed the 12th Standard Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with English and other Modern Indian Languages together with any three Science subjects comprised in the faculty of Science or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto in such subjects and with such standards of attainments as may be prescribed.

 BCA

Semester – I

  • The candidate should have passed the 12th Standard Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with English and other Modern Indian Languages together with Mathematics or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto in such subjects and with such standards of attainments as may be prescribed.
  • Students who have passed Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Vocational stream with Mathematics also shall be eligible.

BCCA

Semester I

  • The candidate should have passed the 12th Standard Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with English and other Modern Indian Languages or Any other Equivalent Examination of any State in (10+2) pattern with any combination of subjects or 12th Standard Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in Vocational Stream with one language only.
  • Students who have passed Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Vocational stream with Mathematics also shall be eligible.

PG Courses:

General instructions:

Admission to PG courses is done through RTMNU’s Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

Candidates need to go the website, http://rtmnupgadm.org/ and do the registration within the stipulated time. More details can be obtained from the website.

M.Sc. Chemistry

For admission to the M.Sc. Semester I in Chemistry, a candidate should have opted

Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry as one of the subjects at the qualifying B.Sc. Examination.

M.Sc. Physics

For admission to the M.Sc. Semester I in Physics, a candidate should have opted Physics

as one of the subjects at the qualifying B.Sc. Examination.

M.Sc. Mathematics

For admission to the M.Sc. Semester I in Mathematics, a candidate should have opted

Mathematics as one of the subjects at the qualifying B.Sc. Examination.

M.Sc. Bio-Technology

Eligibility criteria for admission to the M.Sc. Semester – I in Bio-technology, shall be all

Life Science graduates or Agriculture or Veterinary or Fishery Sciences or Pharmacy /

Engineering/ Technology / Medicine (M. B. B. S.) or B. D. S. graduates.
