Nagpur, June 30, 2025 – SFS College, Nagpur, organized a seminar on “Robotics, AI, and Learning Processes” on Monday at 12:00 noon. The session featured Dr. Sonia Chacko from the USA. Dr. Sonia Chacko is an Assistant Professor of Robotics Engineering at Bowling Green State University(BGSU). Her research specializes in using augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve human-robot interaction and environmental sensing. At BGSU, She is establishing the Advanced Robotics and Technology (ART) Lab, where she leads research in industry-focused robotics, human-robot collaboration, and innovative automation technologies.
She shared insights into how robotics and artificial intelligence are transforming education. She discussed the role of AI in personalized learning and the integration of robotics in academic settings. Dr. Sonia emphasized that technology should enhance, not replace, human learning. She also said, we must prepare our students not just to use technology, but to shape it.The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty, reflecting a strong interest in future technologies. The event highlighted SFS College’s commitment to innovation and preparing students for tech-driven careers.
