B.Sc. Chemistry

After completion of this programme the candidate will be able to:

  • An understanding of major concepts, theoretical principles and experimental findings in chemistry.
  • An ability to work effectively in diverse teams in both classroom and laboratory.
  • An ability to employ critical thinking and efficient problem-solving skills in the three basic areas of chemistry (inorganic, organic, and physical).
  • An ability to conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results, while observing responsible and ethical scientific conduct.
  • To get an awareness of the impact of chemistry on the environment, society, and other cultures outside the scientific community.
  • Understand the interdisciplinary nature of chemistry and to integrate knowledge of mathematics, physics and other disciplines to a wide variety of chemical problems.

M.Sc. Organic Chemistry

After completion of this course the candidate will be:

  • Understands the background of organic reaction mechanisms, complex chemical structures, instrumental   method   of chemical  analysis, molecular rearrangements   and separation techniques.
  • Global level research opportunities to pursue PhD and targeted approach of CSIR –NET examination.
  • Enormous job opportunities at all levels of chemical, pharmaceutical and food products.

Carry out experiments in the area of organic analysis, estimation, separation, derivative process, inorganic semi micro analysis, preparation, conductometric and potentiometric analysis.
