After completion of this programme, the candidate will develop a foundation in chemistry together with practical, analytical, problem-solving, communication and scientific skills that support further study or entry into the job market.

An ability to work effectively in diverse teams in both classroom and laboratory.

Develops understanding of organic reaction mechanisms, complex chemical structures and molecular rearrangements.
Builds familiarity with instrumental methods of chemical analysis and a range of separation techniques.
Provides a foundation for research opportunities, Ph.D. study and targeted preparation for CSIR-NET, alongside employment opportunities in relevant sectors.
Understands the background of organic reaction mechanisms, complex chemical structures, instrumental methods of chemical analysis, molecular rearrangements and separation techniques.

Students are expected to carry out experiments in the areas of organic analysis, estimation, separation, derivative processes, inorganic semi-micro analysis, preparation, conductometric analysis and potentiometric analysis, thereby connecting advanced theoretical concepts with practical laboratory experience.
